According to reports, JSW MG Motor India has launched a new model of the SUV called the MY2025 Astor. With prices starting at ₹11.30 lakh (ex-showroom), MG has remained competitive in the Mid-Size SUV segment as the Astor is now the sole SUV under ₹12.5 lakh that has a 10-inch infotainment system alongside a panoramic sunroof. The newly added Assist Shine and Select variant designs have been said to shift the Aspiration boundaries and change the perception of MG vehicles. An Astor comes with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine rated at 110PS and 144Nm of torque. It can be mated to a 5-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission. The turbo petrol 1.3-litre engine option has been removed in this update. The SUV offers good fuel efficiency, ranging from 14.82 to 15.43 kmpl, suitable for both city and highway travel.
