Honda Cars India is planning new model introductions as part of the product plan for 2025-2026, concentrating on the expanding SUV and electric vehicle markets. The company intends to enhance its footprint in the country with offerings that cater to a broader range of consumer needs.

One of the most talked-about launches is Honda’s Elevate EV, which is expected to become Honda’s first fully electrified SUV in India by August 2026 for an estimated price of ₹18 lakh. Competing models include the Hyundai Creta EV and MG ZS EV, which the Elevate is poised to challenge.

Besides the electric SUV, Honda plans to re-launch the WR-V by March 2026 with an expected price of ₹9 to ₹12 lakh. The vehicle is targeted at budget-oriented consumers who desire an appealing compact SUV.

In addition, Honda is considering introducing the ZR-V hybrid SUV by 2026, which can be imported to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). Other models under development include the next-generation Honda City, which is anticipated to launch in May 2028, and a new 7-seater SUV based on the all-new PF3 architecture, set for production in October 2027.

Honda’s strategy includes focusing on small and medium-sized vehicles to be marketed with a new global platform, PF2, with high localisation content and export potential. The company is also paying more attention to incorporating advanced technologies such as powertrains to address rising customer expectations and stricter regulatory standards.

Honda intends to strengthen its foothold in India’s automotive market, especially in the SUV and EV categories, while maintaining its hallmark dependability and innovative features through these planned launches.
